Imperfect Creation

Name one perfect thing on Earth.

Fully 999 of every 1,000 species ever to have existed, are now extinct.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

Multiple times between 75 and 90% of all life on Earth was killed off in a major extinction event.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

99% of the livable space on Earth is water volume.

Of all this water, less than 3% is fresh, drinkable.

Of this 3%, less than 1% is accessible to humans.

We can survive only a few days without fresh water.

Contaminated water is common, and can kill.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

Of Earth’s land area, only 17% is habitable to humans,

and even that 17% is actively hostile.

The weather is capricious and natural weather events can kill us in short order,

humans are unable to survive exposure to extremes of temperature.

A slow drawn out death due to persistence of extreme conditions causes many fatalities.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

Many landforms present potentially fatal hazards,

but must be negotiated in search of food.

With human mass, a fall from any real height can have fatal consequences.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

There are a vast array of predators capable of killing or causing debilitating injury (and consequential death).

Many forms of prey can inflict injury leading to death.

Many plants and animals present an unapparent poisoning hazard.

Bacteria contamination of food, disease and infection are major killers.

Does THAT sound “perfect”?

The fact that all biological life evolved to exist on this planet is beyond doubt.

That there is a tiny fringe of fanatical fundamentalists, who cling to a strictly literal interpretation of specific verses of a bronze age book of religious superstitions (ONLY those specific few, whilst ignoring vast tracts), does not invalidate fact.

Humans The human body is a conflation of compromises resulting from the need to transform from four legged motation to bipedal.

This places undue strain on the spine, lower back muscles and our necks.

The multiple small bones of the hand and foot; quite unnecessary, and prone to strain and dislocation,-likewise the spine, especially neck and low back.

The mesenteric membrane, badly placed for support of the intestines, especially in bipedal humans.

The birth canal, causing frequent foetal obstruction.

The left Recurrent Laryngeal neve take a torturous route;—especially in the Giraffe where it is over 14 foot long, to span two points mere inches apart!

Badly draining sinuses, causing endless catarrh and sinus infections.

Back-to front wiring of the optic nerve, and the resulting central blind spot which has to be compensated for, with the brain working hard to fill in the blank area.

Bad design of trachea and oesophagus for humans who try to swallow food and breath at the same time causing choking;, and sometimes death.

Mental delusions and hallucinations.

Prostatic enlargement and urinary obstruction.

Having genitalia in close proximity to the anus and excreted waste.

Honeymoon cystitis2—in women. Assorted sexually transmitted diseases-in men and women. Gonococcal conjunctivitis, and congenital Syphilis in babies born to infected mothers.

Sagging boobs and tummy after multiple childbirth. “Bomb-door” vulva and rectal and vaginal prolapse.

Human reproduction problems with fertility, miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, gross fetal deformities, maternal deaths

Runaway sexual deviance, and assault urges in mostly men.

Child molestation impulses.

Diseases in Humans, animals, plants, some of which actually cause evolutionary change.

Auto-immune diseases,-in which the body attacks itself.

Humans have far more “designed in” issues and problems than most animals.

=======================

Perfect you say? That’s laughable. He could have done a better job when he created Earth. It doesn’t rain when it’s supposed to. When it does rain, it rains too much resulting in floods. It freezes late which kills the plants. That doesn’t sound very perfect to me. He should have done better on something so simple.

Then there’s humans. We are far from perfect. Your god creates children with missing fingers, clubbed feet, cleft palette and holes in their hearts, among other problems. So perfect. Isn’t that nice of him? I mean, he could have at least given us an immune system in which we don’t have to survive an infection to become immune to it. But then if he didn’t create those terrible viruses in the first place, then we wouldn’t even need an immune system much less vaccines. The world would be closer to perfect if your god hadn’t created germs, viruses and bacteria but he did it any way. It would have eliminated so much sickness, misery and death. My, your god is so thoughtful. Not

So, to sum it all up. Your god has a whole lot of work to do before he even comes close to perfection.
