  Reason’s War on Christmas – Is Jesus the Reason for the Season? About this time of year the media is awash with fundamentalists screaming about the so-called  “War on Christmas.”  Slogans like  “Keep Christ in Christmas”  and  “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”  are continuously chanted by the faithful.  On top of the whining from various church leaders and run of the mill preachers, FOX news presenters and other pugnacious and petulant media pundits are doing their best to keep reason out of the season.  But what is the reason for the season?  Let’s take one of the above mentioned slogans and examine the evidence for it. Is Jesus the Reason For the Season?
